Ovarian Cancer Symptoms

Ovarian cancer has been called the silent disease, but in fact the symptoms are not silent – they are common, but often put down to other conditions. While these symptoms are frequently not signs of ovarian cancer, it is vitally important to talk to your doctor about them if they are unusual and persist.

They include:

  • pelvic pain
  • abdominal pain
  • increased abdominal size and bloating
  • needing to urinate often or urgently
  • feeling full or having difficulty eating.

Other symptoms include:

  • changes in bowel habits
  • unexplained weight loss or gain
  • vaginal bleeding
  • back pain
  • indigestion or nausea
  • excessive fatigue.
