Home again, again

If you have to be in hospital, 5 North at the Women’s is a good place to be. So many women’s efforts, starting with the amazing Sheila Lee, have gone into making this an attractive place to be. The specialist gynaecological oncology doctors and nurses make you feel well cared for. Thanks to them I’m feeling better and back home again.

T & H arrived just after I got home yesterday with the evening’s offerings of T’s special lentil soup, piquant pasta and delicious mixed vegetables (secret recipe). After that I felt strong enough to go to bed!

Today Woz arrived with our new Ova2you postcards hot off the press. He looked great and so do they. Thanks Woz and Mystique press for printing. Thanks also to Hannah, Sarah, Steph and Gemma for fabulous art and design work.

Jo from palliative care called in to make sure all was well. It’s reassuring to have their regular visits and to know they are on call 24/7.

Thanks to Heather for nursing me through a marvelous misty Melbourne afternoon, and to Jane for coming around to finalise the ribbons, petition and door prize for the launch on Sunday, even if I was asleep at the time.
