I want to commend the wonderful staff at the Royal Melbourne Hospital who work under such difficult conditions, there being so few resources for public hospitals. I’ve now learnt that though no one can explain why, it is quite common for cancers to throw up emboli, and there were many patients in hospital with pneumonia

I have to say that something needs to be done about the food in hospitals – we need fresh, tasty and nutritious food to get better. With hospital food as it is you can lose the will to live!

Back home things are different. Gill’s fresh vegetables, Sue’s yummy contributions and Glenda’s dab hand with the juicer have got me mobile.
