Back in hospital

A visit to the oncologist sees me back in hospital again. Its fluid on the lung. Draining it was interesting experience. I managed to relax my neck so successfully, it didn’t seem to want to go back to any normal neck position. The hot pack has guided it to safety. Such an event can fill a whole day in hospital. And then in came the lovely Heather and Tasdan with a scrumptious meal again. Last night it was chicken soup with tiny pasta – Jewish penicillin Tasdan calls it – and gnocchi with home grown tomatoes, parmesan and salad all delivered with a red table cloth and fine china. Tonight’s offering is chicken, pumpkin and sweet potato soup with sour cream and chives and the tiniest meat balls in a fresh tomato sauce and the most divine rice you’ve ever tasted.

I don’t know if it was jealousy or my new will to live, but the doctor said I can go home tomorrow. She was eating a can of Campbell’s soup when she delivered this message. I felt very sorry for her.

I am very much looking forward to the launch of Ova2you on Sunday. The director of the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation, attached to the Royal Women’s Hospital, Dr Deb Neesham will do the honours.

See ya
